Hip Hop Dance Class for Kids
Ages 4 years & above; One of the most popular forms of street dance, Hip Hop allows a dancer the freedom of self-expression and ability to transform energy into creativity.
Why Choose Hip Hop Dance?
- Basic moves: Students will learn the techniques and acute movements of Hip Hop, such as gliding, jerking, popping and locking, while accompanied by the latest and most popular of pop songs.
- Choreography: Teach short and fun choreographies that are easy to follow and allow the kids to feel accomplished when they master them.
- Encourage creativity: While teaching choreography is essential, also encourage the kids to freestyle and express themselves. This fosters creativity and helps them develop their unique style.
- Positive atmosphere: Kids are more likely to be enthusiastic about dancing and create a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the class.
- Group activities: Include group activities to foster teamwork and cooperation among the kids.

Ballet is considered a highly technical form of dance and requires both strength and flexibility. On top of picking up core dance skills, young learners of ballet often also enjoy the following:

Fairytale Ballet
(Foundation Level)
Ages 3 years – 4 years
- Through imaginative storytelling and roleplay, our curriculum builds strong ballet foundations and nurtures musicality in a fun and supportive environment, bringing ballet to life.
- Physical Development: Improve balance, coordination, control, spatial awareness, and motor skills through basic dance steps
- Cognitive & Emotional Development: Develop musicality and express feelings through movement (e.g. learn rhythm, movement patterns)
- Confidence & Social Skills: Build self-esteem and interact with friends
- Preparation for Classical Ballet: Lay the foundation for ballet and instil a love for dance in your child

Classical Ballet
Ages 5 years & above
- At this level, students are trained and encouraged to undertake ballet examinations from the internationally-recognised Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).

Established in 1977 under Crestar Education Group, Crestar School of Dance started out as a dance department under Yamaha Music School Singapore. We have since grown to become one of the largest private dance schools in Singapore.
Crestar School of Dance stands out with our high-quality dance teachers and instructors who are recruited through stringent selection processes. Regular upgrading and training are also made available to improve their skills and knowledge continuously.
Our Locations
Purposefully built and mindfully equipped with sprung floors, full-length mirrors and dance barres, our studios provide a conducive and comfortable dance environment for all students.
Our ballet studios are also conveniently located around Singapore.
